About Our Courses

During your training to become a pilot, we will teach you how the weather will impact your flights. However, at The Cavut Pilot, we never let the weather impact our lessons. Whether it rains, snows, or is sunny outside; you will experience high-quality learning!

1. Private Pilot

Your instrument rating is critical for furthering your aviation expertise. It is also essential if you want to learn fly in situations other than visual. The average cost of obtaining your Private Pilot’s Certificate varies between $9,000 and $12,000. This covers the cost of the aircraft, instructor time, private pilot flying lessons, and checkride expenses.

2. Instrument Pilot

Building on your understanding of aircraft flying instruments, you will learn to use them efficiently to fly safely in IMC.

Your examiner will use the ACS to assess your aviation knowledge. You will be able to pass your checkride with flying colors once you have completed the course.

The typical cost of obtaining an Instrument Certificate is between $8,000 and $12,000. This covers the cost of the aircraft, instructor time, and checkride expenses.

3. Commercial Pilot

Commercial pilots can work as cargo, tour, or backcountry pilots. Flight instructors, ferry pilots, and glider tow pilots are all possibilities. The FAA permits a commercial pilot to charge a fee for their services. To fly a regularly scheduled passenger service or an airline, you must also meet the extra qualifications for those employees.

An airline pilot, for example, must have a commercial pilot license and an Airline Transport Certificate (ATP) and must operate for a regularly scheduled air carrier or a certified operator to charge money.
